Maple Sea Salt Cookies
These maple sea salt cookies bake up with thick & soft centers, crisp edges, and a warm maple flavor throughout. The sweetness of the maple is balanced out with salted butter and a sprinkling of flaky sea salt on top. Made with just a bowl & whisk and a quick 30 minute chill, these cookies come together in a flash! They really are the best sweet yet salty fall cookie and they get even softer over time, making them a great cookie for gifting.

For the Cookies
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Line three large baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, combine the Caputo “00” Baking Flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until fully combined.
- Whisk in the maple syrup, egg, and vanilla until well combined.
- Add the dry ingredients and use a rubber spatula to fold until fully incorporated.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Use a 3 tbsp cookie scoop to portion the dough.
- Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl, and roll each cookie dough ball in the cinnamon sugar.
- Place the cookie dough on the prepared baking sheet spaced about 2 inches apart.
- Bake the cookies for 10–12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow the cookies to cool completely before drizzling icing on top.
For the Maple Icing
- In a small saucepan, add the butter and maple syrup, and place over low-medium heat until the butter has melted.
- Remove the pan from heat and whisk in the powdered sugar until smooth.
- Place the pan in the fridge for about 5 minutes to cool and thicken.
- Drizzle the icing over the cooled cookies and top each with flaky sea salt.
