Berry Jam
Bursting with the vibrant flavors of fresh berries, this jam provides balanced sweetness with a hint of tartness.

Ingredients
2 Cups (375g) Strawberries
1 Cup (170g) Raspberries
1 Cup (170g) Blackberries
3/4 - 1 Cup (186g) Granulated White Sugar, per your preferance
1 Large Lime, or 2 Small (2 oz, 50 mL)
Instructions
Measure and Prepare Ingredients
- Wash fruit and pat them dry. Be sure not to let the fruit soak in water.
- Cut the stems of the strawberries and dice them into halves or quarters.
- Measure the sugar and set it aside. You can always start with less and add, but never take away!
- Juice lime(s) and set aside.
Over the Stovetop
- Place a medium sauce pan or small pot over medium-low heat.
- Combine all the fruit, sugar, and lime juice in the pan.
- Stir continuously and mash the fruit with a spatula as it softens.
- Let this simmer down for 35-45 minutes until a jammy texture is almost achieved.
- While your jam simmers, place a sterile jar or container in the fridge for 15-20 minutes.
Jarring and Cooling
- Remove your pan from the heat and let it cool on the stovetop for 5 minutes.
- Once slightly cooled, pour your jam into the cold jar and let rest overnight.
Notes:
- Resting is optional, Jam can be served both hot and cold.
- Be sure to use a sterile jar or container.
- Try not to let the berries soak in water; this may cause them to become oversaturated.
- Extra sugar can be added depending on the ripeness of the fruit.
- You can substitute frozen fruit or add more sugar as needed.
